Having a win of any amount is an exciting event and, for some lucky players it can be life changing. Prize values can range from a few dollars to a few million dollars so there are a number of ways to claim your prize.

Players Club members

For Players Club members it’s easy to check if you’ve won a prize. Have your card scanned in-store at a NSW Lotteries Outlet and the lottery terminal will let you know if you have any unclaimed prizes.

All prizes up to and including $1,000 can be claimed at any NSW Lotteries Outlet by presenting your Players Club card together with your winning ticket. This is an important security feature which further protects your prizes from being claimed by anyone but you.

If you forget to claim a prize (excluding first division prizes and jackpot prizes for Lucky Lotteries), we’ll automatically send you a cheque or free ticket certificate, containing the new ticket entry details, three to four weeks after the draw for prizes over $1,000.00 and up to $10,000.00.^ Unclaimed prizes $1,000.00 or less and prizes over $10,000.00 are automatically paid by cheque after 8 weeks. If your ticket is a multi-week or multi-draw entry, your prize will be paid 8 weeks after the last draw on the ticket. Unregistered Prize Claims

Download and complete the Prize Claim Form and include this in an envelope together with the ORIGINAL winning lottery tickets, remembering to keep copies for your own records. Complete your name, address and signature on the back of the lottery ticket. Secure the Prize Claim Form and your ORIGINAL winning lottery tickets in an envelope, affix a postage stamp and post to:

First Division and Lucky Lotteries Jackpot prizes are only available for payment from the first business day 2 weeks following the draw.

Claiming a prize on someone’s behalf at NSW Lotteries

If claiming a prize from a winning lottery ticket which is registered to a Players Club card on someone else’s behalf, you will need a signed letter of authorisation and signature identification for the claimant and the registered player.

Your prize payment will be processed and paid within 10 working days of receipt of your claim form by NSW Lotteries, or after necessary waiting periods as listed.

Lost tickets

Please be careful with your unregistered lottery tickets including your Instant Scratch-Its tickets because if they are stolen or lost, someone else could claim your prize. Prizes may only be claimed with the original ticket.

If your lottery ticket (excludes Instant Scratch-Its) is not registered to a Players Club card, you will need to complete a Lost/Damaged Ticket Search form which will assist us in locating your ticket in our Lottery Gaming System. There is a fee associated with this search. If we are successful in locating your ticket a ‘Stop Payment’ can be placed on the winning lottery ticket, provided that the prize has not yet been claimed.

Players Club members - lost registered lottery tickets

If you are a Players Club member and you lose your registered ticket or your card, you should call NSW Lotteries on 131 868.

Once we verify your identity we can arrange to “Protect” your ticket and/or cancel/reissue your card.

A NSW Lotteries representative will then advise you of your payment options for collection of your current or future wins.
