Orange mystery: Who's holding the winning $1.4 million Saturday Lotto ticket?

NSW Lotteries is on the hunt in Orange for a mystery millionaire who could very well be unaware of their $1.4 million division one windfall in Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The winning ticket, purchased from Nextra Orange, was not registered to a Players Club Card so NSW Lotteries has no idea who the winner is or how to contact them.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eager to locate the winner and unite them with their million-dollar prize.

“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the winner, but if you purchased an unregistered entry from Nextra Orange in Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw that you haven’t checked yet, you’re in with a chance!” Mr Hart exclaimed.

“That’s why we’re urging all Saturday Lotto players from the Orange region to check their tickets as soon as possible.

“If you discover you are holding the division one winning ticket, contact NSW Lotteries on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

NSW Lotteries reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Players Club Card so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.

The division one winning entry was purchased from Nextra Orange, Shop 17, Orange City Centre, 227 Summer St, Orange.

Nextra Orange owner Paul Blunden said the outlet was thrilled to have sold a division one winning ticket.

“It’s amazing to think one of our customers is now a millionaire. Or, at least they will be as soon as they check their ticket and claim their prize,” Mr Blunden said.

“We hope it’s one of our regulars, but it could be someone who was just passing through.

“If you bought an unregistered entry from us for Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw, make sure you check your ticket! You could be our winner!

"You could be walking around with a ticket worth $1.4 million!”

The six winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3749 on Saturday 24 June 2017 were 29, 43, 5, 13, 32 and 1. The supplementary numbers were 40 and 38.

Across Australia there were 15 division one winning entries in Saturday’s $21 Million Superdraw, with each taking home a division one prize of $1.4 million. The winning entries included five from New South Wales, two from Queensland, two from Victoria, one from South Australia, two from the Northern Territory and three from Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 404 so far this financial year, including 114 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
