Retired Rosebud man to take dream expedition with TattsLotto windfall!

A retired man from Rosebud who never checks his TattsLotto entries was stunned to get a phone call from Tatts to tell him he’d unknowingly become a millionaire on the weekend!

The man was shocked when he received the phone call from Tatts on Monday morning to break the dream-come-true news he’d won a division one prize of $1,002,288.51.

“What? A millionaire? Wow! Well that couldn’t of come at a better time!” he exclaimed.

“I’ve always dreamt of doing a train trip to Darwin on the Ghan expedition! And I’d also like to go over to America!

“Gee you’ve got a pretty good job giving people good news like that! Is that what you do every day?”

He explained that he buys advanced week entries online via theLott.com - Australia’s Official Online Lotteries, and is usually notified via email of any winnings, but had never expected to receive a division one phone call.

“I’ve never missed a draw and I’ve been playing for years and years!” the man explained.

“To save messing around, I find it’s easier to buy my tickets online in batches, so I get about five weeks’ worth of TattsLotto tickets at a time.

“Then I rely on you people to let me know when I’ve had a win! So I can say very genuinely thank you for the call!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased a 12-game marked entry online via theLott.com - Australia’s Official Online Lotteries.

Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries, including three in Victoria, who each won a first division prize of $1,002,288.51 in TattsLotto draw 3735 on Saturday 6 May 2017. The other winning entry was sold in New South Wales.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3735 on Saturday 6 May 2017 were 8, 39, 9, 16, 41 and 26. The supplementary numbers were 31 and 8.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 350 so far this financial year, including 142 won by Tatts customers.
