Winner picks up Cherrybrook's $1 million Monday Lotto prize!

The winner of Cherrybrook’s $1 million Monday Lotto prize has finally come forward to pick up their windfall, ending almost a week of speculation as to their whereabouts.
The northern Sydney suburbs around Cherrybrook have been abuzz with anticipation during the week after news spread that someone had won a cool $1 million with an unregistered ticket in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3656 on 1 May 2017.
While the case of the missing ticket can be laid to rest at last, we may never know exactly who stepped forward to claim the prize because the winner has chosen to remain completely anonymous.
With the winner choosing to celebrate in private, not much can be revealed about the mystery millionaire other than they purchased a 12-game QuickPick entry from Cherrybrook Newsagency, 47-61 Shepherds Drive, Cherrybrook.
The new Cherrybrook millionaire was one of two New South Wales division one winners in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3656.  Each won a prize of $1 million.
Cherrybrook Newsagency owner Dale Richards said he was delighted the mystery had been solved and the winner united with their prize.
“It’s fantastic news that the prize has finally been claimed and the mystery put to rest!” he exclaimed.
“We’ve had a lot of customers coming in to check their ticket and lots of speculation as to whether the winner knew they’d won or not, but now we can all breathe a sigh of relief!”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3656 on Monday 1 May 2017 were 14, 6, 17, 18, 25 and 11. The supplementary numbers were 16 and 42.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 346 so far this financial year, including 95 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
