Where in the world is Waratah's Wednesday Lotto winner?

Someone in Newcastle’s suburb of Waratah is walking around without a clue that they’ve won division one in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

Since the winning ticket was unregistered, NSW Lotteries can only wait and wonder when the winner will check their ticket and realise they’ve won more than $666,000 so they can instead walk around without a care in the world!

Their entry was one of six nationally that won a division one prize of $666,666.67 in Wednesday Lotto draw 3661 on Wednesday 17 May.

The winning ticket was purchased from Waratah LPO & Newsagency, Shop 9 in the Waratah Shopping Village on Turton Road.

As it was not registered to a Players Club Card, officials have no contact details for the winner to reach them to break the news about their prize.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said he hoped it wouldn’t be long before Waratah’s winner wound up claiming their prize.

“What a welcome surprise $666,000 would make!” Mr Hart exclaimed.

“Trouble is, all we can do is wait for the winner to check their ticket and discover their division one news for themselves.

“That’s why we’re urging all Monday & Wednesday Lotto players in Waratah to check their tickets without delay to see if they’re the unsuspecting winner.

“If you discover you’re holding the division one winning entry, please phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can help you claim your prize!”
NSW Lotteries reminds players of the importance of registering their tickets to a Players Club Card so all of their prizes are secure and they can be contacted directly with the good news of a big win.
