Mystery Wollongong player wins $1 million in Wednesday Lotto

What would you do with $1 million?
That’s the question NSW Lotteries officials are waiting to ask a Wollongong resident or visitor who bought a winning entry in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw, but has yet to come forward to claim their prize.
The new millionaire was the only New South Wales division one winner and one of only two winners nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3649.  Each won a prize of $1 million.
NSW Lotteries is calling on customers to check any Lotto tickets they bought from Koonawarra Newsagency, Shop 1, Parkside Plaza, Cnr Lakelands and Parkside Drives, Dapto.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said the division one winning ticket was not registered to a Players Club card so officials had no clues or contact details for the mysterious missing winner.
“Our missing millionaire could be a local resident or someone who bought the entry while visiting the region.  We don’t know, but we’d love to unite the winner with their $1 million windfall,” he said.
“With $1 million to be claimed, it could pay for you to have a clean-up around the house, car or anywhere else you stash Lotto tickets.
“We recommend anyone who believes they are holding the division one winning entry to keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
Koonawarra Newsagency manager Jamie Cicino said the outlet was celebrating selling another division one winning entry.
“Our customers were due for it!  It was long overdue,” he joked.
“It’s exciting to think one of our customers is a new millionaire and we can’t wait for them to find out.  We’re asking everyone coming into the store whether they had an entry in last night’s draw.”
The six winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3649 on Wednesday 5 April 2017 were 6, 28, 4, 43, 11 and 24.  The supplementary numbers were 44 and 38.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 305 so far this financial year, including 82 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
