Curiosity pays $100,000 for Geelong man!

A retired man from Geelong was amazed when he got the news this afternoon that his first-ever entry in Lucky Lotteries had won the 1st Prize!

After 30 years of playing other lotto games, curiosity spurred the man to give Lucky Lotteries a try and in an amazing case of beginners luck, he won 1st Prize!

His entry won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10146 which was drawn today, Tuesday 4 April.

“Goodness me! Oh my godfather! My word!” the man exclaimed on hearing the dream-come-true news.

“Are you sure about that? It’s just this is the first time I’ve played this game!

“I buy Tatts tickets for Thursday’s Powerball and Saturday’s TattsLotto every week, and I’ve done that for about 25 to 30 odd years.

“But I’ve never won anything in my life a part from a chook raffle!

“So when I was in the shop last time I saw the black cat cut out and I was curious so I asked the lady ‘What’s that thing and how does it work?’

“She said it was Lucky Lotteries and it was like a raffle with a certain amount of numbers per draw. And I said ‘Oh well, get us 10 numbers in it!’

“So it’s terrific I’ve won! I’ll probably give most of it to my kids. We’ll arrange something to tell them!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 10 random number entry from Belmont Lotto, Shop 1, 168 High Street in Belmont.

Richard Stone is the owner of Belmont Lotto and was delighted to have sold a 1st Prize winning ticket to a local customer.

“It’s fantastic that our customer gave Lucky Lotteries a try and landed the 1st Prize winning ticket - How’s that for beginners luck!” Mr Stone exclaimed.

“There’s been a couple of big wins in Geelong over the weekend, so it’s great to see the third sold here!”
