Family birthdates deliver Gold Lotto win to Sandstone Point retiree!

A retired Sandstone Point woman is celebrating after an entry featuring her family’s birthdates delivered a division one win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto.
The excited winner confessed she hadn’t been able to calm down since she discovered the win immediately after the draw.
She was one of 15 division one winners nationally, and one of four in Queensland, in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3731 on 22 April 2017.  Each won a division one prize of $271,775.57.
Thanks to her registered System 9 marked entry, the Sandstone Point winner also won other divisional prizes, taking her prize total to $287,569.22.
“It’s just wonderful!  Thank you!” the winner told a Golden Casket official this morning.
“I always check my numbers every Saturday night on the computer.  I saw those numbers and thought they’re my birthday numbers!
“I’ve been playing them for a long time and they’ve finally paid off!
“I haven’t settled down yet.  It’s just wonderful!”
The winner plans to share her windfall with her cherished children and grandchildren.
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her registered System 9 marked entry from Sandstone Point News Extra, Shop 8, 204-208 Bestman Road East, Sandstone Point.
Sandstone Point News Extra owners Bob and Barb Randall said the outlet was celebrating selling its first division one winning entry since they bought it four years ago.
“We’ve sold two top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its, but this is our first division one winning entry,” Bob explained.
“It’s been really exciting.  We’ve had people congratulating us and hopefully there’s more wins to come!”
The six winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3731 on Saturday 22 April 2017 were 30, 13, 11, 18, 24 and 21.  The supplementary numbers were 15 and 27.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 326 so far this financial year, including 82 won by Golden Casket customers.
