St Helena store syndicate celebrates TattsLotto win!

A group of St Helena residents are celebrating after their syndicate entry won $702,245.46, or $70,224.55 per share, in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The winners were part of a division one winning store syndicate sold at Aqueduct News & Lotto, Shop 11, St Helena Marketplace, 214 Aqueduct Road, St Helena.
The syndicate entry was one of three Victorian division one winning entries and one of six nationally in TattsLotto draw 3729 on 15 April 2017.
Aqueduct News & Lotto owner Frank Ispanovic explained 10-share store syndicate had been running for many years and was played by a group of long-term local residents aged between 50 and 70 years.
“The syndicate members are thrilled.  They’ve started coming in and discovering the news and shaking my hand!” he exclaimed.
“The syndicate was started by the previous owner before we took over the store six years ago.  It’s called ‘Triple E’ but no one remembers why!
“It’s got seven permanent members who always take part and then three remaining shares that we sell in the store.
“It has won a number of prizes over the years – just six months ago they won $1,500 each – so the syndicate just keeps running!”
Mr Ispanovic said one of the syndicate’s permanent members had also purchased one of the remaining shares in the weekend’s draw, delivering them two shares of the syndicate’s prize pool.
“That’s a pretty good Easter present isn’t it!” he said.
The syndicate’s winning entry consisted of a System 7 game, two System 8 games, a System 9 game and a System 10 game.  This entry not only landed the syndicate the division one prize of $686,749.11, but also the division three and four prizes.
The six winning numbers in Tatts Lotto draw 3729 on Saturday 15 April 2017 were 40, 26, 15, 44, 3 and 32.  The supplementary numbers were 16 and 41.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 317 so far this financial year, including 131 won by Tatts customers.
