Logan couple reshapes retirement plans with shock $1 million Saturday Gold Lotto win!

A Logan couple is happily reshaping their retirement plans after discovering they’re now more than $1 million richer after the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The happy retired couple were one of four division one winners from across Australia, including two from Queensland, in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3727 on 8 April 2017 who each won a prize of $1,051,524.97.

The weekend’s win continues the region’s recent streak of division one success. Within the past fortnight, a Springwood man has won a massive $15 million Powerball prize, while a Waterford couple has landed more than $1 million in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto.

Speaking to a Golden Casket official this morning, the winning man explained he had discovered the shock win after checking his entry at home.

“Geez that came out of the blue!” the new millionaire exclaimed.

“I can soon spend it too I can assure you!

“I actually had three tickets. The other two barely had any numbers from the draw but the third one had all six numbers in a row!”

The couple are happily revisiting their retirement plans now that they have an extra $1 million to enjoy.

“We want to set ourselves up for a nice retirement. This means we won’t have to worry about anything,” the man explained.

“We’ll also help the kids out. They’re in desperate need of new cars!”

Nextra Hyperdome News manager Jade Cinelli said the outlet was celebrating selling a division one winning entry.

“We’re really excited for them! It’s great news!” she exclaimed.

“We wish them all the very best with their prize and hope we have some more wins for our customers!”

The six winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3727 on Saturday 8 April 2017 were 25, 38, 3, 32, 27 and 7. The supplementary numbers were 28 and 21.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 309 so far this financial year, including 76 won by Golden Casket customers.
