Hello, new Brisbane Powerball winner? Would you like to take a $15 million call?

Golden Casket officials are enthusiastically trying to contact the only division one winner of last night’s Powerball jackpot draw to break the news that they’re now $15 million richer!

So far this morning, repeated attempts to phone the registered winner using their provided Winners Circle card membership details have been unsuccessful.

The registered ticket was purchased from Watland Street 727, 41 Watland Street, Springwood.

It was the only division one winning entry in Australia from Powerball draw 1090 on Thursday 30 March 2017, delivering a prize of $15 million!

It’s the second time local convenience store Watland Street 727 has sold a division one winning Powerball entry.  In 2012, it sold the entry that won a Brisbane southside couple a division one prize double the size, of $31 million.

Golden Casket spokesperson Matt Hart said officials would keep ringing the winner’s phone number in the hope that they eventually answered.

“We don’t know if this winner has any idea about their massive $15 million windfall yet, but we’d love to get them on the phone to confirm the life-changing news to them.  I suspect it’s really going to change their weekend plans!” he said.

“If you bought a ticket at Watland Street 727 for last night’s Powerball draw and your phone is ringing, please pick up!  You’ll really want to take our call!

“Anyone who notices some missed calls should check their Powerball ticket and if they think they’re holding the ticket worth $15 million, phone Golden Casket as soon as possible on 131 868.”

Watland Street 727 owner Khai Le said the outlet was celebrating its second Powerball division one winner.

“It’s pretty lucky for us to have two big division one Powerball wins,” he said.

“Hopefully the winner will soon find out the exciting news themselves!”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1090 on Thursday 30 March 2017 were 30, 1, 5, 7, 19, 28 and 6. The all-important Powerball number was 6.

Last night’s Powerball winner takes the Lott’s division one winners tally to 293 so far this financial year, including 70 won by Golden Casket customers.
