Warrnambool couple has sleepless night after discovering $4.2 million TattsLotto win

A Warrnambool couple admitted they had a sleepless night contemplating their life-changing $4.2 million win in the weekend’s TattsLotto $21 Million Superdraw.
The couple was one of three Victorian division one winners from TattsLotto draw 3723, and one of only five division one winners nationally.
Speaking to a TattsLotto official first thing this morning, the winning man explained he and his wife only discovered their win late last night – 24 hours after the draw.
“It was late last night when we realised so we’ve had no sleep whatsoever!” he said.
“My wife said ‘check this ticket’ – she’d bought a QuickPick last week.
“I started going through the numbers and I said ‘what do you get for five straight numbers?’.  Then I looked at it again and I said ‘what do you get for six straight numbers?’!
“We thought it was a joke, that it can’t be right, that there’s something wrong!
“Now that you’ve confirmed it I feel more excited than I did last night!  This is one of the better Mondays I’ve ever woken up on I can tell you!”
Given the winning ticket was unregistered, the man said he had kept it safe in his pocket ever since.
The winning couple said they would use the “life-changing” windfall to pay off their mortgage and help their family.

“It wouldn’t have mattered if it was $10,000, we’d still be as happy as Larry.  It’s come at a very good time for us,” the man explained.
“There’s a fair few things we’ve got to do. This will really help us.  It’s still a big shock!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game QuickPick entry from Northpoint Lotto & Gifts, Shop 10 & 11, 72 Mortlake Road, Warrnambool.
Northpoint Lotto & Gifts owner John Murname said he was thrilled his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“We’re pretty happy about it!  Congratulations to the winner!” he exclaimed.
“This is only the second time we’ve sold a division one winning ticket.  The first one was years ago just after we took over the outlet.   This is by far our biggest win!
“Saturday was such a busy day with everyone buying tickets for the Superdraw and I’m so pleased one of our customers won!”
There were five division one winning entries across Australia, including three from Victoria, who each won a first division prize of $4.2 million in TattsLotto draw 3723 on Saturday 25 March 2017.
Along with the winning ticket sold in Warrnambool, the other Victorian winning tickets were sold in the Melbourne suburbs of Mulgrave and Nunawading.
The six winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3723 on Saturday 25 March 2017 were 23, 20, 39, 16, 35 and 28. The supplementary numbers were 27 and 4.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 291 so far this financial year, including 118 won by Tatts customers.
