Brunswick East syndicate of 10 share in $2.1 million TattsLotto windfall!

There are ten TattsLotto players in inner-northern Melbourne who will share in the division one dream after their shared group syndicate entry won a total of $2.17 million or $217,577.40 per share!

The group syndicate was sold across three Tatts outlets with 10 shares available in a 2-game System 9 marked entry with special numbers handed-down from previous owners of East Brunswick News, Lotto & Post Office. V

an Luu is the owner of East Brunswick News, Lotto & Post Office at 167 Lygon Street in Brunswick East who created the group syndicate and sold eight of the winning shares.

“When I opened the shop door this morning, there was one of my regular customers waiting outside. My customer was there much earlier than usual and came in and said with a big smile ‘We won first division!’” Ms Luu exclaimed.

“I’m so happy! I still cannot believe it! It’s a very, very good prize for everyone because not only did we win division one, but thanks to our System 9 entry we also won prizes in division 2, 3, 4 and 5!

“I’ve run this syndicate called ‘House A’ every week without fail for the last seven years because I always hoped one day it would win!

“There’s two or three regulars that I reserve entries for but the rest are just walk in spontaneous purchasers.

“Although we’ve had a lot of 2nd division wins over the years, this is the first division one winning entry I’ve ever sold! I’ll never forget this morning!

“Every morning I print out the results report waiting to see my store’s name listed under the division one selling outlets, so I’ve been waiting a while for this!

“I just had my new shop fitting done on Wednesday so we think that the new renovations and layout could have brought us the luck – a good omen!”

Thanks to the syndicate’s 2-game System 9 entry they won a division one prize of $2,104,132.77 as well as additional divisional prizes which brought the total to $2,175,773.92.

The 10-share group syndicate was operated by East Brunswick News, Lotto & Post Office at 167 Lygon Street in Brunswick East and was sold from three Tatts outlets including;

  • East Brunswick News, Lotto & Post Office in Brunswick East (8 shares),
  • Northbrun Tatts & Subnews in Brunswick (1 share),
  • Flemington Florist Lotto in Flemington (1 share).

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that each won the first division prize of $2,104,132.77 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw on Saturday 25 February 2017.

Along with the division one winning group syndicate in Victoria, there was one division one winning entry in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3715 on Saturday 25 February 2017 were 36, 7, 33, 29, 44 and 22, with the supplementary numbers 45 and 5.

The Lott’s division one winning tally is now sitting at 269 so far this financial year, including 105 won by Tatts customers.
