Nextra Capalaba Park store syndicate scores Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw win

A group of 20 Capalaba locals has won more than $1.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw by purchasing a share ticket in a store syndicate from Nextra Capalaba Park.

The syndicate was one of six Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw division one winning entries from Queensland and one of fifteen winners nationally.

It’s the second time in 14 months that a store syndicate from Nextra Capalaba Park has won division one in Saturday Gold Lotto.

The latest winning syndicate features 20 local residents of all ages, with each member set to receive a prize of $69,225.33.

Nextra Capalaba Park manager Leigh Harrison said the store was abuzz with excitement as syndicate members progressively learnt the news of their win.

“We haven’t heard from all the syndicate winners yet. We had some come in yesterday and another excited winner this morning,” she said.

“The winner who discovered their windfall this morning was really excited. They didn’t realised they’d won until they came in!”

In January 2016, a 10-member store syndicate from Nextra Capalaba Park won just over $2 million. The store also sold division one winning lotto entries to local customers in 2011 and 2013.

“We do a store syndicate for each Superdraw and our customers seem really keen to be a part of it,” Ms Harrison said.

“Hopefully with these wins under our belt our fame for selling division one winning entries is spreading!”
