Winning $1 million in Monday & Wednesday Lotto a family affair for two Sydney siblings!

A Sydney brother and sister have made winning $1 million in Monday & Wednesday Lotto a family affair after they each won division one and other divisional prizes totalling $1,014,781.60 on their system 7 entry in last night’s draw.
The siblings explained they each play Lotto using special family numbers so when the winning sister, a mother from Doonside, saw the winning numbers while watching the draw she knew that there would be a double celebration with her brother having the same winning numbers.
“Oh my God! This is wonderful!” the winning sister laughed.
“I was watching the draw last night and I saw my numbers on the screen. I know them off by heart so I knew I’d won - I couldn’t believe it!
“I know there was another winner last night as well. It is my brother! We both play with the same numbers.
“I couldn’t sleep much last night, I was so excited.”
The second winner in last night’s draw said he was waiting by the phone for NSW Lotteries to phone him to confirm his registered entry had won him a division one prize of more than $1 million.
“Oh you beauty!” the brother exclaimed when receiving confirmation of his winning entry.
“I get the paper delivered each morning and when I checked the results in the paper they looked familiar.
“When I realised I had all the numbers I knew my sister had won as well. I haven’t even had a chance to phone and congratulate her on becoming a millionaire,” the winning man laughed.
When asked what they planned to do with their windfall both siblings didn’t hesitate in saying they would share it with their family.
“I’ll be able to help my children,” the winning woman said.
“And I’m going to take my husband overseas to visit his family. He hasn’t seen them for years.”
The winning brother was still letting news of his win sink in and said in addition to sharing with his family he would have to think about it.
“I’m not too sure about all my plans. I’m going to have to sit down and think about what I might do.”
The regular players who wish to remain anonymous both purchased registered System 7 marked entries. The winning sister purchased her entry at Ky Newsagency, Shop 2 Rainbow Centre, 52 Rosenthal, Doonside. The winning brother purchased his entry at Mascot North Newsagency, 893 Botany Road, Mascot.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3703 on Wednesday 11 October 2017.
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3699 were 26, 17, 34, 35, 23 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 3 and 33.
Last financial year, there were 82 division one winning Monday & Wednesday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $80 million.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 327 so far this calendar year, including 102 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
