Merrylands new millionaire claims Superdraw prize!

The search is over for Merrylands missing millionaire after the winner came forward to NSW Lotteries today to claim their $1.9 million division one prize from the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw.

But the mysterious millionaire wishes to keep their identity shrouded in secrecy; opting to remain completely anonymous. The winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card so NSW Lotteries had no way of contacting the winner. Instead officials had to wait patiently for the winner to check their ticket and discover they were one of the state’s newest millionaires!

The System 12 marked entry, which won first division and other divisional prizes totalling $1,953,651.71, was purchased at Merrylands Newsagency, 181 -183 Merrylands Road in Merrylands.

Huawei Zhoa is the co-owner of Merrylands Newsagency and was excited to know the outlet’s missing winner was no longer in the dark about their new millionaire status.

“We’re so happy for our customer and relieved to know they’ve now come forward to claim their prize,” Mr Zhoa said.

“We were so delighted when we discovered we’d sold a division one prize worth $1.9 million! It’s been a few years since we sold the last one but there have been a number of division one wins all around us so we thought our turn was coming.

“Now that we’ve had this big win we’re hoping the next one will be just around the corner so we can have another customer celebrating a division one win.”

NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a big win.
