Sunshine West man wins $1.9 million in TattsLotto Superdraw!

A young man in his 30’s from Melbourne’s western suburb of Sunshine West is still working out how to package up and deliver the news to his parents that he won more than $1.9 million in TattsLotto’s $21 Million Superdraw Saturday!

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was still processing the news of his new millionaire status and is yet to tell anyone his dream-come-true news.

“It’s unbelievable! It’s just crazy! I had a sleepless night last night – normally I sleep like a log, but my stomach was doing flips!” he exclaimed.

“I’ll get to do a bit of travel, I haven’t done much at all since I’m usually not very adventurous but I’ll have to go see more of the world now!

“But I’ve mostly been thinking about what I can do for my mum and dad rather than what I can do for myself. I’m trying to come up with a fun way I can deliver the big surprise to them – I can’t wait to tell them!

“It probably won’t really hit me until I see it in the bank!”

The superstitious winner revealed that he tried something a little out of the ordinary when purchasing his entry on this occasion to see if he could improve his luck.

“I’ve been playing TattsLotto for a little while but for the Superdraw I went to Hoppers Crossing because I saw a news story that they’d sold quite a few division one winning tickets – It’s a bit of a hike from my place but I thought ‘oh well, I’ll give there a try,’” he explained.

“And normally I just get a standard QuickPick but this time I thought I might try a System 7! It was one of those ‘why not!’ moments!”

The man won division one as well as other divisional prizes totalling $1,915,420.61 thanks to his 7-game System 7 QuickPick entry, which he purchased from Target Lotto, Shop 9, 24 - 50 Old Geelong Road in Hoppers Crossing.

Carlos Addamo is the owner of Target Lotto and was thrilled to have sold yet another division one winning entry and uphold his ‘lucky’ reputation.

“We relocated into a new shop front and had our grand opening just 10 days ago! We haven’t moved far but our superstitious customers were worried that our lucky streak would come to an end,” Mr Addamo explained.

“I told them that we’re the lucky people so the luck will follow us to the new shop and this latest division one winner has confirmed it! It only took 10 days to prove that our luck is here to stay!

“We’ve now delivered six division one winners since March 2014 - and that’s more than $8.4 million in division one prize money to our customers within two and a half years!

“This makes Target Lotto’s 32nd division one win over two decades! It’s unbelievable!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto’s $21 Million Superdraw 3665 on Saturday 3 September 2016 were 40, 32, 36, 23, 28 and 7, with the supplementary numbers 39 and 41.

The weekend’s winners take the Lott’s division one winners tally up to 75 so far this financial year, including 26 in Tatts. Throughout Australia, there were eleven entries that won a first division prize of $1,909,090.91 in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw 3665. There were five division one winning entries purchased in Victoria. Along with the division one winning entry purchased in Hoppers Crossing, the other division one winning entries were purchased in Preston, Williams Landing, Kilsyth and Roxburgh Park.
