The north-west Victorian city of Swan Hill is home to a brand new division one winner after a local man won more than $200,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The happy Swan Hill man said he was actually washing the dishes when he happened to see some numbers he recognised in the TattsLotto results which flashed across his TV screen.

“I’m still trying to work out how to bottle up my reaction to this news – I’m sort of still shaking and crying!” he exclaimed.

“I was actually scrubbing the dishes watching the news and the numbers came up and I thought ‘a couple of those are mine!’

“So I had to check my TattsLotto entry, even though I usually never do and yeah I was in a bit of shock! I had to ring my sister because I thought I might be having a heart attack!

“With the prize money I’ll pay the house off and get that out of the road. I’d also like to put some towards a big party for my birthday, take a holiday to Queensland, and maybe even go on a couple of golf trips with my mates.”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 15-game marked entry from Swan Hill Lotto & Cards, Shop 2 in the Safeway Arcade at 128 Campbell Street in Swan Hill.

Lynette Borchard is the manager of Swan Hill Lotto & Cards and was delighted to have sold a second division one winning entry this year.

“We’re on a roll! To have two division one winners in 2016 alone is fantastic!” Ms Borchard exclaimed.

“In mid-January this year our customers, a couple of grandparents from Swan Hill, also won a prize worth more than $200,000 in TattsLotto and said they planned to take an extended holiday to Broome in Western Australia.

“Funnily enough, they also won their division one with a 15-game marked entry!

“We made a millionaire in May 2014 when a retired man from Swan Hill purchased a division one winning Monday Lotto entry from our shop and planned to buy a ute!

“So we hope the wins just keep coming! Kerang also had a division one winning customer in January and then welcomed another in July – so we’ve been joking that we’ve been good neighbours in the north taking turns!”
