Ethan welcomes TattsLotto division one win!

A man in his 50s from north-east Melbourne will be putting his mortgage repayments to bed in one lump sum after winning a division one prize in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The thrilled man purchased a marked Pick 5 entry in Saturday night’s TattsLotto draw from Eltham Lotto which won a total prize of $226,723.70.

“I’m pretty excited now! I only checked my ticket on Monday morning!” the man chuckled. “

I don’t think I’ve ever won anything substantial in my life! Just smaller amounts here and there, so this is real good! It’s beautiful!

“I’ve always taken the same numbers, I just like ‘em!

“I’ll pay my mortgage off. This windfall will take care of that so it will make life that much easier. What a dream!

“Then I don’t know what I’ll do! Maybe a holiday but I’ll have to have a think about exactly where I’ll be off to!”

The soon to be mortgage-free man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry from Eltham Lotto, Shop 12A in the Eltham Village Shopping Centre on 906 Main Road, Eltham.

Jackie Murphy is a staff member at Eltham Lotto and said the team was overjoyed when they realised one of their customers had won division one.

“When the message popped up that Eltham Lotto had sold a division one winning ticket, we were all so happy!” Ms Murphy exclaimed.

“We’re just absolutely thrilled for our winning customer! It’s even lovelier to know it’s someone from the area who may even buy their tickets here regularly, and that they sound so deserving!

“It’s sent us all abuzz here in the store. It really has made our day! We’ll be busy blowing up balloons and celebrating here!

“On behalf of Eltham Lotto, a big congratulations to the winner!”

In September 2014, Eltham Lotto sold a division one winning entry worth more than $361,000 to a Melbourne mum who planned to buy her teenagers their first cars, extend her house and celebrate with bubbly with her besties.
