Bell Park man has indescribable TattsLotto win!

A Geelong Cats supporter from the north-western suburb of Bell Park received a dream-come-true phone call in the middle of his morning shower to break the news that he’d won more than $701,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw!

The thrilled man was completely unaware his numbers had come up in Saturday night’s TattsLotto draw and was busily getting ready for work when his phone rang.

“Sorry I’ve just jumped out of the shower and I’m in the middle of brushing my teeth!” he said through the toothpaste foam.

“You know what I thought you said Cats, not Tatts! I’m a Geelong supporter and I thought it was the Geelong Cats footy club calling me!

“Give me five minutes, this is just too exciting! OK I’ve got the ticket in my hand!”

When he was delivered the dream-come-true news that his ticket had won a division one prize worth $701,962.71 the man was overjoyed.

“Wow! Thank you so much! That’s the best news I’ve had in a long time!” he exclaimed.

“I can’t describe it! It’s fantastic!

“We’ve had our backs on the walls for the last two or three years and it’s felt like everything’s been going backwards, but this will change things around. So this is just crazy good!

“We’ll pay the bills - got plenty of them! A holiday will be happening once everything is settled but we’ll definitely be going somewhere in the world – anywhere would be great! I can’t wait to take a well-deserved break from all the pressures we’ve been up against.”

The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 18-game QuickPick entry from NewsXpress Bell Park, 21-23 Milton Street in Bell Park.

Andrew Robb is the owner of NewsXpress Bell Park and was busy preparing the celebrations to mark 25 years in business when he sold his 15th division one winning entry.

“It’s just wonderful news! We’re celebrating 25 years in business this coming Saturday and this local winning customer takes us to selling 15 division one winning tickets in that time!” Mr Robb exclaimed.

“We’re over-the-moon with the timing and it’s certainly the icing on our business’ 25th birthday cake!

“We wish our local customer all the best with their division one windfall as they kick off their life with an extra $701,000 in their pocket!

“We’ll be celebrating on Saturday with a sausage sizzle from 10am – 1pm and we have our fingers crossed that we can sell another division one winning entry in Saturday night’s $21 million Superdraw!”

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3663 on Saturday 27 August 2016 were 25, 4, 5, 13, 34 and 18, with the supplementary numbers 23 and 13.

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division prize of $701,962.71 in the weekend’s estimated $4 million TattsLotto draw. Along with the winning entry from Bell Park, there was a 15-member store syndicate sold in Keilor Downs, as well as one each sold in Queensland and the Northern Territory, and two were purchased in Western Australia.

The weekend’s winners take the Lott’s division one winners tally up to 59 so far this financial year, including 21 in Tatts.
