Hillsdale's missing Saturday Lotto winner claims prize!

After ten days of wondering who won more than $408,000 in Saturday Lotto with a ticket purchased in the Sydney suburb of Hillsdale, the mystery has been solved after the winner came forward to NSW Lotteries today to claim their prize.

The overwhelmed winner explained he had a good reason for why he wasn’t aware NSW Lotteries had been searching for a missing unregistered Saturday Lotto winner from Hillsdale.

“I was visiting Sydney from Queensland when I bought my winning Saturday Lotto ticket,” the excited winner explained.

“I only discovered I’d won first division late last week after I’d gone back to Queensland. I was home by myself when I discovered I had a division one winning ticket and I was in shock!

“I’ve always played Lotto but this is the first time I’ve won anything big. I did win $100 on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket once!

“This win means for the first time in my adult life I will be debt-free and I’ll be able to give some money to my daughter.

“It’s brilliant! Once the money is in the bank, I think I’ll have to have a quiet little celebration!”

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The division one winning entry was purchased at Southpoint Newsagency, Shop 2 in Southpoint Shopping Centre, 238 Bunnerong Road in Hillsdale.
