'Dream come true' Superdraw win on the Fraser Coast!

A Hervey Bay family will be able to dream big after their private syndicate entry won a first division prize worth more than $1.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $20 Million Superdraw.

The winning mum said she walked around the house in a state of disbelief after checking the family’s division one winning entry.

“Every Saturday night I watch the draw and write the winning numbers down and then I check our ticket,” the excited winner explained.

“I was stunned when I saw all the winning numbers on our ticket! I walked around the house in a state of disbelief.

“I was home alone at the time and I had no-one to tell so I picked up the phone and tried to call my kids. It took me a little while but I finally got in contact with my daughter and she was so excited!

“My adult kids and I have been playing Gold Lotto together for about 12 months now – we all put money in and share the cost of a ticket each week.

“I’ve always said to my kids that I’d win Gold Lotto one day and now I have and best of all I’m sharing it with them. As a mum you only ever want the best for your kids so this really is a dream come true for me.”

The winners have chosen to remain anonymous.

The division one winning 24 game QuickPick entry was purchased at newsXpress Station Square, Shop 30 and 31 in Station Square, 142 Lennox Street in Maryborough.

Jason Greer is from the family-owned newsXpress Station Square and said the outlet had two reasons to celebrate after the weekend’s $20 Million Superdraw.

“We’re super excited because we not only had the first division win but we also sold a second division winning store syndicate with each of the 16 shares winning almost $900!” Mr Greer exclaimed.

“We also had a division three win in Powerball last Thursday which paid around $6000 so we’ve had lots of happy customers in the past week.

“After our division one, division two and division three wins, all I can say is bring on this Thursday’s $35 million Powerball!”
