World trip tickets for North Strathfield Lotto millionaires!

A retired couple from North Strathfield aren’t planning to be home much anymore thanks to winning $1 million in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw!

Instead, they’ll be busy taking to the skies and the seas as they travel around the world on the trip of a lifetime, in true millionaire style.

The happy couple were caught unaware on Tuesday morning, when a NSW Lotteries Official called with the dream-come-true news that they were a cool $1 million richer.

“OHHHH MY GODDD! I’ve been playing all my life!” the wife screamed as she found herself a chair to sit down and handing the phone to her husband.

“What a surprise! This is fantastic! Beautiful news! I can’t believe it!” the husband exclaimed.

“I was just over the sink doing some washing up when my wife got your call and I’ve just about got to pick her up off the floor!” he laughed.

“We picked our winning numbers off the lotto shaker years ago – they rolled into the grooves and we’ve been playing them ever since.”

When asked what the first thing they would do as millionaires the couple couldn’t contain their excitement.

“Well we’ve always wanted to go around the world – a world tour!” he shouted.

“Particularly Japan stands out as a first stop! It’s somewhere I’ve always wanted to travel to and see for myself.

“We’ll also be buying a new car. We’ve been meaning to get around to that for years and now our car is over 20 years old. I’ve forgotten what a new car smells like,” he laughed.

“You know I haven’t really ever thought of what I’d do if we won the lotto before now, because I guess I never really thought I would win!

“We all live in a dream world, but I guess some people get the chance to make their dreams come true!”

The happy married couple purchased their 14-game marked entry from Nextra Express Burwood, Shop 134/135 in Westfield Shoppingtown in Burwood.

It’s Burwood’s second bound of luck in less than 10 months!

Nextra Express Burwood also sold a division one winning entry in Saturday Lotto in September 2015.

That division one prize was worth more than $823,000 and the winner, a man from the inner-west suburbs of Sydney, said he planned to build a family home with his windfall.

Yan Lin is the owner of Nextra Express Burwood and said he was over the moon to have sold a second division one winning entry within 10 months.

“That’s amazing to now have two division one winning customers and one a millionaire!” Mr Lin exclaimed.

“We’re hoping this winning momentum means we’re going to sell a big jackpot prize soon to take it to three division one winners – maybe even in the $20 million Oz Lotto draw tonight!”

Throughout Australia, there were three entries that won first division in last night’s Monday Lotto draw, which offers a guaranteed $1 million division one prize for up to four winners in every draw. Along with the winning entry purchased in Burwood, there was another division one winning entry purchased in Moruya in New South Wales, and one winning ticket sold online via thelott.com to a Queensland player.

The winning numbers in Monday Lotto draw 3570 on Monday 4 July 2016 were 12, 6, 9, 1, 15 and 20 with the supplementary numbers of 25 and 38.
