Roma's missing 'Lucky' winner has been found!

For more than three weeks, the big question on everyone’s lips in the Queensland town of Roma has been – who is the Lucky Lotteries $100,000 winner?

After 27 days of sitting by the telephone waiting for the mystery Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot 1st Prize winner to call, a Golden Casket official finally spoke with the unregistered winner this afternoon.

The Roma resident admitted he knew there was a missing Lucky Lotteries winner in town but didn’t think his ticket in draw 10085 on 1 July had won the $100,000 1st Prize.

“I walked past the sign in the newsagency’s window saying there was a missing winner so many times but never thought it was me!” the excited winner exclaimed.

“I kept thinking to myself what fool wouldn’t register their lottery tickets to a Winners Circle card – well it turns out that fool was me! I always register my entries to my card but somehow this one wasn’t!

“I was checking some old lottery tickets and when the self-check scanner said to go to the counter, the staff member in the outlet said to me that Golden Casket was still searching for a missing $100,000 winner so called Golden Casket.

“I couldn’t believe it when I was told I’d won! I‘ve played Lucky Lotteries since it began in Queensland. I like how it has a guaranteed 1st Prize in every draw so you know how much you’ll get if you win!

“It’s a little too early to say exactly what I’ll do with my prize money but it’ll come in very handy!”

The 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket in draw 10085 on 1 July 2016 was purchased at Roma Newsagency, 94 McDowall Street, Roma.
