Local Maryland man claims Saturday Lotto prize!

A local man from Maryland is still in shock after discovering his 36-game QuickPick in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw had won him a division one share worth more than $683,000!

The winner had spent his week going about his normal routine completely unaware he was the mystery Maryland winner NSW Lotteries had been waiting for to come forward and claim their Saturday Lotto prize.

The hardworking local only discovered he was holding a division one winning ticket when he checked his entry at Maryland Chemmart Pharmacy today.

“I’m shocked, I’m completely shocked,” the winning man repeated when he received confirmation of his Lotto windfall from a NSW Lotteries official.

“I always said if I ever won Lotto I would keep working because I love my job and that is exactly what I plan to do – I’ll definitely keep working.

“The first thing I’ll do is share the news of my win with my family and I’m pretty sure we’ll have a big dinner to celebrate.

“I have recently recovered from surgery so now I’ll be able to enjoy my win and treat myself to a holiday – in fact I may treat my entire family and make it a big family holiday – one that we’ll never forget.

“I also plan to use my prize money to help out my mum and I might even buy myself a new car.”

The division one winning Saturday Lotto entry was purchased at Maryland Chemmart Pharmacy, Shop 2 in Maryland Shopping Centre, 144 Maryland Drive in Maryland.

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division prize of $683,262.28 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw. Along with the winning entry from Maryland, there was one division winning entry sold in Queensland, three in Victoria, and one in Tasmania.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3639 on Saturday 4 June 2016 were 26, 38, 27, 43, 12 and 3, with the supplementary numbers 44 and 16.
