Central Coast's Monday Lotto millionaire screams with delight!

A Central Coast woman said she’ll never forget the moment she discovered she’d become an overnight millionaire!

The great-grandmother was unaware she’s won a $1 million first division prize in last night’s Monday Lotto draw until she answered a phone call from a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon.

After hearing the dream-come-true news that she was $1 million richer, the ecstatic winner let out a long ear-piercing scream before breaking down into tears of joy.

“I can’t believe this!” the shocked winner declared when she was able to speak again.

“This is just amazing – this win means everything to me! I’ve always had to watch my pennies but now I’ll be able to let out the purse strings a little!

“I’m in shock – I think I’ll have to have a cup of tea to celebrate! It’s going to take some time to sink in that I’m $1 million richer!

“My kids won’t go without but the first thing I want to do with my windfall is take my entire family on a dream come true beachside holiday so we can all be together!”

The division one winning Monday Lotto entry was purchased at Cresthaven News, Shop 10 in Cresthaven Plaza, 161 Cresthaven Avenue in Bateau Bay.

George Karipidis from Cresthaven News declared he was equally as excited when he discovered his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.

“This is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry so we’re over the moon,” Mr Karipidis said.

“We’ve been telling all our customers today and they’ve been so happy for us. The store has been buzzing with excitement!

“Now that we’ve got this first division one win under our belts, we’re ready for some more and hopefully very soon!”

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won first division in Monday Lotto which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Bateau Bay, there was a division one winning ticket sold in Queensland.

The winning numbers in Monday Lotto draw 3562 on Monday 6 June were 4, 39, 38, 14, 16 and 3. The supplementary numbers were 45 and 23.
