Two new X Lotto Superdraw millionaires!

The weekend’s glacial $22 million X Lotto Superdraw has blown in two division one winning tickets to South Australia each worth $1.5 Million – one to Port Elliott and the other to Whyalla Stuart.

Port Elliot great grandparents to give!

A couple from Port Elliot, a town on the south coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, made the dream-come-true discovery on Sunday that their entry in the $22 Million X Lotto Superdraw had won a division one prize worth $1,571,428.58.

The surprised great grandparents, who wish to remain anonymous, said they had one thing in mind when they realised they had won – to pay it forward with the gift of giving!

“The best part about becoming millionaires overnight is that we can see the look on our children’s faces when we can pay off their mortgages and help with a house deposit for our grandchildren as well!” the woman exclaimed.

“I just can’t wait to see my children’s reactions to this life changing news!

“Our windfall will have an on-flow effect and will make things easier for a lot of people.”

The couple purchased their division one winning 36-game QuickPick entry from Chit Chat Newsagency, Shop 8 in Victor Harbor Central, 27 Torrens Street in Victor Harbor.

Jason Mann is the owner of Chit Chat Newsagency and said that he was thrilled to have sold a division one winning entry in the Superdraw.

“It’s awesome! Our customers are all very happy hearing the news that someone who shops at our newsagency has become a millionaire overnight!” Mr Mann exclaimed.

“We’re not only thrilled for our winners but also happy that it will have a good impact on the area – it tends to be a little bit quieter in the winter time, so the news of this win will spark up the local community and let them dream a little more.”

Whyalla Stuart man gets $1.5 million surprise!

A man from Whyalla Stuart, a seaport located on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula, received the dream-come-true phone call from SA Lotteries this morning to break the news he’d won $1.5 million in the weekend’s X Lotto draw.

The surprised man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said he was completely unaware of his new millionaire status when he answered his phone earlier today.

When the SA Lotteries Official asked if he was sitting down before delivering the division one news, the man exclaimed “Alright, I’m bracing myself against the kitchen cupboard, hit me!”

“Bullseye! You’re joking! I’m elated! What a nice surprise!” the overwhelmed man exclaimed.

“I’ve been playing X Lotto every Saturday for the past five years, but never have I ever won anything like this, or even dreamed it could happen to me.

“First up I’m going to buy myself a new car, and then I’ll be able to give some money to my children as well. It’s just lovely!”

The happy man purchased his 14-game QuickPick entry from One Stop Newsagency and Video, Shop 6 in the One Stop Shopping Centre on Flinders Avenue, Whyalla Stuart.

Sandra Donaldson is the owner of One Stop Newsagency and Video and said news of a division one winner was wonderful for the town as well as her winning customer.

“Oh my! Goodness me! That’s wonderful news to hear for our customer!” Mrs Donaldson exclaimed.

“It’s also great for the community to get a little boost from the news of a local millionaire in our town!”
