Birthday bonus for Instant Scratch-Its top prize winner!

A Toowoomba woman discovered she had an extra birthday surprise this year when she scratched the $250,000 top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its $10 ticket.

The ecstatic winner who became a quarter-of-a-million dollars richer in an instant will now be able to write up her own belated birthday present list!

“I received a couple of scratchies for my birthday recently and I was really happy when I won a few dollars on them,” the ecstatic winner explained.

“When I went to a newsagency, I decided to buy a few more Instant Scratch-Its with my prize money so I got a couple of Crosswords tickets.

“The next day I was at home by myself when I decided to sit down and scratch my tickets. After I finished I counted up the words and I realised I had ten words which is the top prize!

“I was so surprised – I thought there’s no way I could have won! Because no one was at home to look at my ticket, I checked and rechecked it so many different ways. I even wrote down each word on a piece of paper and counted them up to make sure I definitely scratched ten complete words!

“I’m still working out what I’ll do with my windfall but one thing I’m sure of is I’ll definitely be going on a holiday – there’s no doubt about that!”

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its $10 ticket was purchased at Supanews Grand Central, Shop 108 - 110 in Grand Central Shopping Centre, corner of Margaret and Dent Streets in Toowoomba.

It can happen in an instant. It could happen to you.
