$3 million in Saturday Lotto riches goes wanting in Newcastle!

For the second week in a row, Newcastle has added another winner to its growing first division tally after a Saturday Lotto entry purchased in the suburb of Waratah won a massive $2 million division one prize in the weekend’s draw!

But just who can call themselves a new multi-millionaire is a mystery to NSW Lotteries as the winner did not register their entry to a Players Club card so officials have no way of contacting them with the dream-come-true news.

NSW Lotteries spokesperson Belinda McDougall said she was eager to hear from the newest Newcastle division one winner and urged all Saturday Lotto players to check their tickets as soon as possible.

“You may not think it’s possible that you could be the mystery multi-millionaire we’re searching for, but if you purchased an unregistered entry in Saturday Lotto from Waratah LPO and Newsagency that you haven’t got around to checking, you’re in with a chance!” Ms McDougall exclaimed.

“That’s why we’re urging all Saturday Lotto players to check their tickets as soon as possible and if you suspect you are holding the division one winning ticket to contact NSW Lotteries to begin the process of claiming your $2 million prize.”

The division one winning entry in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw was purchased at Waratah LPO and Newsagency, Shop 9 in Waratah Shopping Village, 91 Turton Road in Waratah, Newcastle.

It comes just one week after a Newcastle man in his sixties won a $2.1 million division one prize in Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdaw on Saturday 7 May with a ticket purchased in the suburb of Hamilton.

Throughout Australia, there were two entries that won a first division prize of $2,038,156.43 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw. Along with the division one winning entry from New South Wales, there was one division one winning ticket sold in Victoria.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3633 on Saturday 14 May 2016 were 21, 33, 34, 4, 13 and 10, with the supplementary numbers 14 and 30.

Still no sign of Newcastle West’s millionaire from January!

Imagine letting your $1 million windfall sit idle for more than four months – well that’s exactly what one NSW Lotteries Saturday Lotto player has done because they didn’t register their winning ticket to a Players Club card!

The division one winning entry was purchased at Marketown Newsagency, Shop 8 in Marketown Shopping Centre in Newcastle West.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3597 on Saturday 9 January 2016 were 20, 25, 36, 30, 18 and 2, with the supplementary numbers 5 and 11.

NSW Lotteries is urging Novacastrians to check their wallets, purses, drawers and even piles of papers stacked on the kitchen bench for any forgotten Saturday Lotto tickets as they could be one of the missing division one winners.

NSW Lotteries always recommends customers register their entries to a NSW Lotteries Players Club card as it ensures their prize is secure and we can contact them directly with news of a big win.
