Two new TattsLotto millionaires in Victoria!

Monday 4 April 2016 - Victoria snapped up two of the three division one prizes in Saturday’s TattsLotto draw worth more than $1.3 million each!

The division one winning entries were purchased in the Melbourne suburb of Frankston and the Geelong suburb of Herne Hill.

Geelong division one winner stopped in his tracks!

A Geelong man was in his car driving this morning when he got the dream-come-true phone call from a Tatts official about his $1.3 million division one winning entry in the weekend’s draw.

“This is Tatts? It sounds like I might have to pull the car over if you’re calling me on a Monday morning!” the oblivious winner declared.

“I’ve won $1.3 million! My godfather – I’m an instant millionaire!” the winner exclaimed after being told his 24-game QuickPick had won a first division prize.

“I don’t usually buy my TattsLotto entries from that store but I was on my way home from work on Friday and decided to stop at that outlet because it has easy parking.

“I buy a QuickPick and play my registered numbers each week but the most I’ve ever won is about $500 – funnily enough I bought that winning entry at the same store as well!

“I haven’t got a clue what I’ll do with my windfall. I’ll have to get myself organised and make some plans now that I’m a millionaire!”

The winning 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Minerva Road News, Post and Lotto, 1 Minerva Road in Herne Hill.

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

Stephen Morrissy from Minerva Road News, Post and Lotto was excited to discover his outlet sold a division one winning entry.

“We bought the outlet about 12 months ago and now we’ve got our first division one win,” an excited Mr Morrissy said.

“We often get asked if we’ve had a first division win yet - now we can tell our customers that we have!

“We’re so excited for our winning customer and wish them the very best for the future as a new millionaire!”

Frankston millionaire to hit the road!

Forget life in the fast lane, a Melbourne man is planning to take it down a gear and enjoy a few driving holidays after winning a division one share worth more than $1.3 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The ecstatic winner in his 60’s discovered his new millionaire status when he sat down to check his 12-game TattsLotto entry on Sunday.

“I’ve been playing the same numbers for about thirty years now so after circling five numbers in one game, I looked at the last winning TattsLotto number and recognised it straight away so I knew I’d won!” the elated winner exclaimed.

“I still checked and re-checked my numbers more times than I can remember just to make sure I hadn’t made a mistake. What an incredible start to 2016!

“I’m going to take it slowly but I’ll share my windfall with my family. My house desperately needs some repair work so it’ll get some attention and I’ll start planning a few driving holidays.”

The winner has chosen to remain anonymous.

The 12-game marked entry was purchased at Smokey’s Frankston House Lotto, 8 Thompson Street in Frankston.

Rob Macaro is the owner of Smokey’s Frankston House Lotto and said it’s a real buzz to sell a division one winning entry.

“It’s always exciting! We’ve had a few first division winners over the years but it’s been a little while since the last one so this win was overdue,” Mr Macaro said.

“We’ve been in business for about 20 years and have lots of wonderful customers so you always hope that you’ll have a division one winner.

“I really believe we got this division one win because it’s the Year of the Monkey and our store mascot is a monkey figurine named Archie!”

Throughout Australia, there were three entries that won a first division prize of $1,380,313.01 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw. There were two winning entries from Victoria and one from New South Wales.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3621 on Saturday 2 April 2016 were 23, 36, 29, 11, 12 and 7, with the supplementary numbers 33 and 9.
