The Adelaide Hills are alive with a $50,000 Keno win!

Wednesday 30 March 2016 - A man from the Adelaide Hills had a very ‘pleasant surprise’ when he discovered that his selected numbers on his Keno Spot 8 ticket matched eight of the numbers drawn, winning him $50,000!

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his entry in the Adelaide Hills’ charming town of Hahndorf, but admitted he hadn’t realised quite how much he won until he went into SA Lotteries to claim his prize.

“I was having a coffee when I checked my tickets online, so I must not have been awake enough yet because I completely missed the fact I’d matched eight numbers to get a Spot 8 win!” the man exclaimed.

“I knew I’d had a bit of a win when I checked my ticket again at my local newsagency. They said I’d need to go to SA Lotteries to claim my prize, but it wasn’t until I went to the Richmond office that I found out it was a $50,000 Keno Spot 8 win!

“I was very happy! It was definitely a pleasant surprise!

“I’m going to let it sit in the bank for the time being as a bit of a reserve fund while I decide what to do with it.”

The man purchased his winning Spot 8 entry from Hahndorf Old Mill, 98 Main Street in Hahndorf.

Craig Fromm is the Manager at Hahndorf Old Mill and said it was great to have a local Keno Spot 8 win.

“Good luck and all the best to our Keno Spot 8 winning customer!” Mr Fromm said.

“Fingers crossed there will be plenty more wins for our customers soon!”

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 top prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
