Eggs-cellent Easter bonus for St Marys' $50,000 Keno winner!

Tuesday 29 March 2016 - A man from Adelaide’s southern suburb of St Marys was in complete disbelief when he checked his Keno Spot 8 entry and realised eight numbers had been drawn on Saturday, winning him a prize of $50,000!

The happy man, who wishes to remain anonymous, admitted it had taken some time for the realisation of the $50,000 windfall to sink in.

“I happened to check my ticket at home and it was definitely one of those ‘too good to be true’ type moments!” the man explained.

“I asked my wife to check I wasn’t seeing things, which led to me saying a lot of unmentionable words!” he laughed.

“It was one hell of an Easter egg – I’ll tell you that!

“We didn’t want to count our eggs before they hatched so to speak, so we have been eager to speak to SA Lotteries to confirm our prize. It made for the longest long weekend ever but we’re absolutely thrilled!

“With the $50,000 windfall we’ll be finishing off the house renovations and taking our children on their first ever plane trip.”

The winner purchased his winning Spot 8 entry from Pasadena Green Newsagency & Post Office, Shop 5, 20 Fiveash Drive, Pasadena.

Claudia Richards is the owner of Pasadena Green Newsagency & Post Office and said she was thrilled that her customer had such a good win in time for Easter.

“We’re very happy for our Spot 8 winning customer who is now enjoying a $50,000 Easter bonus!” Ms Richards exclaimed.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 top prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
