Stanmore Saturday Lotto division one winner stays calm!

Wednesday 2 March 2016 - Ever wondered how you’d react if you won division one? Would you jump for joy, scream out loud or sit in stunned silence?

A Saturday Lotto winner admitted he was surprisingly contained when he realised he’d scored a first division prize in the weekend’s draw.

The winning man in his 40’s won a division one prize of $674,052.92 with his Saturday Lotto entry purchased in the Sydney suburb of Stanmore.

“I had some spare time on Sunday so I decided to get out my Saturday Lotto entry and check it,” the happy winner explained.

“I was crossing off the numbers and initially thought I had 5 numbers but before I knew it I realised that I had all six winning numbers!

“I didn’t jump up and down, I was surprisingly contained! Although I did check my ticket and re-check it to make sure I really did win!

“I used to play special numbers years and years ago but I thought I’d change tact. A few years ago I decided to register the numbers I had on a QuickPick entry at the time and they came up on the weekend.

“This windfall has come at a really good time for me because I’ve just bought a home!”

The winning 18-game marked entry was purchased at Stanmore Newsagency, 130 Percival Road in Stanmore.

Throughout Australia, there were six entries that won a first division prize of $674,052.92 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw. Along with the one winning entry from New South Wales, there were three division one winning tickets from Queensland, and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3611 on Saturday 27 February 2016 were 38, 3, 22, 18, 21 and 5, with the supplementary numbers 27 and 45.
