The winning husband, who registered their System 8 entry to his Tatts Card, told the Tatts official to wait one moment while he put his phone on speaker so his wife could hear the life-changing news.

“Oh wow! That’s a bit of a life changer isn’t it! It’s fantastic, that is so nice! Oh my wife has started crying!” the elated winning husband exclaimed

“That is great news! I’m so pleased you rang me. That’s going to take a while to sink in.

“That has made my life a whole bunch easier! This is the best Christmas present ever!”

The winning wife cried, “I just can’t believe it!”

“Is this for real? It’s just incredible – thank you, thank you!” the winning wife exclaimed.

“Did you hear that? The winning husband asked the Tatts official.

“That was the champagne cork popping! This is better than Christmas!

“I was doing some jobs around the house because we couldn’t afford to pay someone to do them and now we’ll be able to!

“We can finish off all the jobs and get the house painted and we’ll be able to go on our first holiday in quite a few years!

“We’ve always dreamt of getting rid of the mortgage and now we’ll be able to. We’ll be able to live like we’ve always wanted!”

The winning couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their 1-game System 8 marked entry from Eastland Newsagency, L012 Eastland Shopping Centre, 171 Maroondah Highway in Ringwood.

Raymond Tanti is the owner of Eastland Newsagency and was delighted to sell their second division one winning entry since taking over ownership of the newsagency in December 2009.

“This is great news for our winning customers. We get such a kick out of someone being able to play a part in their life-changing win!” Raymond exclaimed.

“It’s a great time of year to win and we wish them all the best for their future as they start living their life as they’ve always dreamt.

“We’re hopeful we’ll have a few more big wins soon, perhaps even in this Thursday’s $35 million Powerball draw or Saturday’s $31 million Megadraw! Two in one week would be pretty exciting!”
