Cronulla man cracks Lotto in time for Christmas!

A man from Cronulla is set to have a cracker of a Christmas after remembering to check the Saturday Lotto results at work this morning and discovering he’d won a division one prize worth $518,125.72!

Thanks to playing a System 8 entry he also picked up additional divisional prizes bringing the total prize windfall to $532,191.67.

The shocked man was lost for words when he got the official confirmation from NSW Lotteries on Monday morning.

“Amazing! I’m speechless, thank you!” the man exclaimed.

“I usually check my numbers on Sunday but we ended up doing something yesterday and I totally forgot about it!

“So I was at work this morning and I finally got around to looking at the results and found out I won Lotto!

“I’m still shaking, I just can’t believe it!”

The man admitted he would wait from instruction from his wife as to what to do with the windfall but said the timing was perfect ahead of Christmas.

“I’m not sure what I’ll do with the windfall yet – I’ll have to ask my wife!” he joked.

“It’s just in time for Christmas so that’ll mean we can do something extra nice!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 1-game System 8 marked entry from Cronulla Paper Shop, 109 Cronulla Street in Cronulla.

Throughout Australia, there were eight entries that won a first division prize of $518,125.72 in the Saturday Lotto draw 3687. Along with the winning entry purchased in Cronulla, there were two division one winning entries each purchased in South Australian, Victoria and Western Australia and one in Queensland.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3687 on Saturday 19 November 2016 were 1, 40, 12, 24, 14, and 16 with supplementary numbers of 20 and 31.

The weekend’s winners take the Lott’s division one winning entry tally to 183 so far this financial year, including 53 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
