Work syndicate wins division one in September Superdraw!

The saying ‘sharing is caring’ couldn’t ring more true for a workplace syndicate of 51 employees from Park Lane aged care facility after they won a division one prize worth more than $1.9 million in September’s $21 Million Superdraw!

The overjoyed syndicate leader said the prize would be shared among 51 colleagues at Park Lane aged care facility in Melbourne’s north-eastern suburb of Croydon North.

“Well it was about 11:30pm when I scanned all the ticket barcodes on the Lott app and I came across the division one winning ticket and I’m going ‘Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god!’ and I said to my husband ‘QUICK have a look at this!’” she exclaimed.

“The winning ticket belongs to a syndicate I run for my workplace in the big draws and there are 51 people in it! So I didn’t sleep at all thinking about breaking the news to everyone!

“Everyone’s been so excited! It works out to be roughly a bit over $37,000 each – which we are all extremely grateful for, we’ve got nothing to complain about! A lot of people have said you don’t know how much this has helped me!

“Some people plan to buy a new car, put some towards their mortgages and take some holidays! “I put together the syndicates for our workplace for the big draws - I hang signs up all around the place for $2 to enter, and this time we’ve cracked it!”

The winning syndicate, purchased their winning 36-game QuickPick from Tobacco Station – Kilsyth, Shop 2 in the Churinga Village Shopping Centre on 540 Mt Dandenong Road in Kilsyth.

Cheng En is the owner of Tobacco Station – Kilsyth and is thrilled to have sold the division one winning entry.

“I’m so happy to hear that the prize will be shared by so many people – It’s even better than I first thought! I’ll need a tractor load of champagne for all those winners!” Mr En exclaimed.

“They’ve won on the right weekend too – in the Superdraw – with a nice big prize of more than $1.9 million to be spread among them.

“I understand aged care work can have some pretty hard working conditions so I hope this win brings a lot of happiness to the dedicated workers in the winning syndicate.

“Although I didn’t win myself, I feel like a winner because when you own a business and talk and joke with your local customers regularly you really feel like part of their life – so it’s amazing to be a part of their winning experience!”

The winning numbers in the $21 Million Superdraw 3665 on Saturday 3 September 2016 were 40, 32, 36, 23, 28 and 7, with the supplementary numbers 39 and 41.
