TattsLotto luck comes in three's in Koo Wee Rup!

A man in his 40s from Koo Wee Rup also kicked his own winning goal on the grand final weekend after discovering his TattsLotto entry won a share of first division.

The overjoyed man, who scored a TattsLotto prize of more than $800,000 with his 50-game QuickPick ticket said he couldn’t believe his luck.

“I just can’t believe it! I’m absolutely stoked!” the man exclaimed.

“Every Sunday morning I check my TattsLotto tickets and I was at about game 17 when I was circling, circling, circling and realised I had circled every single number on that line.

“I went into total shock! I started shaking and shaking – even while I was jumping up and down!

“It’s actually a bit freaky because three years ago on grand final day I won a second division prize of about $15,000 with my 50-game QuickPick ticket as well!

“I’m a Tigers supporter so maybe next year they’ll win the grand final and I’ll win TattsLotto again!” he joked.

“It hasn’t hit me yet - it’s all too much to take in! I never thought I’d see a number like $800,000 in my bank account in my lifetime.

“There are just so many options now to think about. It’s fantastic!”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his division one winning ticket from Koo Wee Rup Newsagency at 44-48 Station Street in Koo Wee Rup.

Cath Peterson is the owner of Koo Wee Rup Newsagency and said she was thrilled to have sold their first division one winning entry to a local customer. “

Good things certainly come in threes! We’ve now sold our first division one winning ticket on the third anniversary of our business opening – to the very date!” Ms Peterson exclaimed.

“It’s fantastic, we’re still saying ‘wow!’.

“It’s great for the local community - it’ll give Koo Wee Rup a good boost.

“The news of this win will no doubt lift the spirits in our rural community particularly given our winning customer is a local. It’s a great feeling!”

Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division prize of $802,260.67 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw on Saturday 1 October, including two in Victoria.

Along with the division one winning entry in Koo Wee Rup, the second Victorian division one winning entry was sold in Torquay, while three division one winning entries were sold in Queensland.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3673 on Saturday 1 October 2016 were 35, 6, 26, 14, 22 and 37, with the supplementary numbers 31 and 10.

The weekend’s winners takes the Lott’s division one winners tally up to 116 so far this financial year, including 46 first division winning Tatts entries.
