Launceston couple's ticket to TattsLotto Superdraw millions!

A Launceston couple are still getting used to referring to themselves as millionaires after their ticket in the weekend’s TattsLotto $21 Million Superdraw won a division one prize worth more than $1.9 million!

The couple got the shock of their lives when they looked up the results of the Superdraw in the newspaper on Sunday morning and found a perfect match on line two of their 36-game QuickPick ticket.

“Oh dear! It’s just wonderful! We’ve been shaking ever since yesterday morning – It’s just been unbelievable!” the winning wife exclaimed.

“My husband read the paper to check the numbers, and there it was on line two! I heard him getting a bit short of breath, and he stammered ‘We’ve won TattsLotto!’

“I said ‘You’ve got to be joking! Stop joshing me!’. I read out the numbers to him and even when he was confirming them I didn’t believe him so I said ‘Well show me!’

“He could hardly talk and by the time I finished having a look for myself I was just shaking like a leaf, and I’m still shaking – I’ve got absolute butterflies of excitement churning around today!

“It’s so surreal. You say the number, $1.9 million, over and over in your head and it doesn’t actually register how much it is. My heart’s been going a hundred miles an hour!

“We’ll be able to travel and do whatever we want now!” she laughed.

The couple purchased their division one winning 36-game QuickPick entry from Mr Lotto - Invermay, 63-65A Invermay Road, Invermay.

Leah Gower is a store manager at Mr Lotto - Invermay and was thrilled to hear they’d sold a winning entry in Saturday’s Superdraw.

“We’re very excited! It’s the first win we’ve had in a while!” Ms Gower exclaimed.

“It’s nice to know that we’ve sold a winning ticket – hopefully it was to one of our regulars that pops in all the time!

“Congratulations to them and we wish them all the best with their win!”
