Imagine sharing the dream of a lifetime

While many people wouldn’t give a second thought about sharing a bucket of popcorn at the movies or splitting a taxi fare with family or friends, would you consider sharing a Lotto windfall with family, friends or charity if you won in this Saturday’s $21 Million Superdraw?

The latest survey released by Golden Casket in the lead up to the super-sized prize pool Saturday event, explored just how generous Aussie adults would be if they shared in the dream of a lifetime – a division one lotto win!

Golden Casket spokesperson Elissa Lewis said the survey, found the overwhelming majority of Australian adults (86.3%) would share their windfall if they won a share in Saturday’s $21 million Superdraw.

“The results revealed when it came to sharing women were slightly more generous than men with 88% of women opting to share a $21 Million windfall with family, friends or charity as compared with 84.6% of men,” Ms Lewis revealed.

“When asked about sharing the news of their windfall, almost one third (29.1%) of survey respondents admitted they wouldn’t tell anyone – opting to keep their winning news a complete secret.

“Winners often tell us they plan to share their prize discretely by taking their family on a holiday, shouting everyone at dinner or making someone’s day with a random act of kindness.

“Many winners confess when it comes to winning lotto sharing their windfall with family, friends and loved ones is the greatest part. This couldn’t ring more true for a workplace syndicate of 51 aged care workers from Melbourne who made headlines in September when they shared in a division one prize of more than $1.9 million, or roughly more than $37,000 each.

“One of the syndicate members said the best thing about winning was sharing the money with all her friends,” Ms Lewis reported.

The $21 million division one prize pool is currently the largest offer available for Golden Casket players and is more than five times larger than the average Saturday Gold Lotto division one prize pool but with the same odds of winning!

There’s still time to purchase an entry for your chance to share in the super-sized $21 million prize but the hot tip is to get in early as possible to avoid the last minute rush!

Tickets are available now for the $21 Million Superdraw (draw 3681) on Saturday 29 October from any Golden Casket retailer, online at theLott.com, or download the new app theLott.com.
