Wantirna South's TattsLotto windfall goes wanting!

Monday 25 January 2016 - A TattsLotto player who purchased their entry in Melbourne’s eastern suburb of Wantirna South won a division one share worth $802,299.97 in the weekend’s draw, but chances are they don’t yet know of their good fortune.

Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said because the winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, it’s possible that the winner is still completely unaware of their windfall.

“The winner could have taken an extra-long weekend with Australia Day approaching, and be oblivious to the fact that the winning ticket in their wallet or handbag is worth more than $800,000,” Ms Taylor said.

“Tatts is eager to speak with the registered winner, however since the winning entry was not registered to a Tatts Card, Tatts has no way of contacting the winner to tell them the dream-come-true news.

“We’re encouraging customers who purchased an unregistered entry in TattsLotto draw 3601 from Knox Central Lotto in the Knox City Shopping Centre, to check their ticket either at a Tatts outlet or online at Tatts.com.

“So dig out your TattsLotto tickets from your wallet, pockets, bags and glove box and check them as soon as possible because you could be the mystery missing winner we are searching for!”

The division one winning entry was purchased from Knox Central Lotto, Shop KB-1, Knox City Shopping Centre, corner Burwood Highway and Stud Road in Wantirna South.

Tim and Michelle Tham are the owners of Knox Central Lotto and said they were thrilled to have had another division one win.

“We feel very lucky to have sold another division one winning entry!” Mr Tham exclaimed.

“In December 2012 we sold a division one winning Oz Lotto ticket worth $40 million which was claimed by a family from Lilydale and earlier that year we sold a division one TattsLotto entry worth more than $474,000!

“It’s always so nice to hear the news that one of our customers has won division one! It’s very exciting!”

Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool on Saturday 23 January, each worth $802,299.97. There was one winning entry purchased in Victoria, one was sold in Queensland, and three in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3601 on Saturday 23 January 2016 were 41, 33, 45, 20, 24 and 44 with the supplementary numbers of 29 and 12.
