A man in his 50’s from northern Melbourne, who purchased his division one winning entry in Brunswick, said he had his family to thank for inspiring the numbers he played that won more than $200,000!

“Are you serious? HOWZAT! You know my numbers are all my children’s birthdays!” the man exclaimed to a Tatts official who phoned with the good news this morning.

“What a stinger! It’s such a surprise, I mean I knew when you called that it was good, but I never suspected it would be a division one phone call!

“It’s going to go a long way to help out my children. They’ve got to get a share each because it’s their birthday dates that won me the prize after all.

“My mother is going to absolutely spin out! She’s been playing TattsLotto since it started and is always saying what she plans to do when she wins division one! She’s a classic! I can’t wait to tell her!

“I’ve just worked out what I’m going to do – I’ve got to buy myself a new van. The one I have now is so old it’s blowing smoke – it’s shocking! So I can finally afford to get a new one now. It’s terrific!”

A man in his 50’s from Craigieburn is putting his family first when planning how he is going to spend his division one winning prize of $207,714.12 from the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The generous man, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the first thing that came to mind when he realised he’d won a division one prize was that he wanted to look after his mum and dad.

“My parents have worked hard all their lives and done a lot for me, so it’s most important to me that I get to spoil them!” the winning man said.

“I’ve decided to buy dad the car of his dreams – a Mercedes! And I’ll be happy to join him on the test drives!

“I will also send mum and dad on a cruise somewhere warm so they can really enjoy the climate! That should put a big grin on their faces. It’s my dream.”

A Melbourne man in his 40’s, who purchased his entry in Ascot Vale, said his wife wouldn’t believe him when he broke the amazing news to her that he had won division one in TattsLotto!

The man, who is a self-confessed prankster, said he may have ‘cried wolf’ one too many times.

“My wife thought I was playing one of my silly jokes! I’m always mucking about so she knows too well to be sceptical,” he laughed.

A couple from Ararat are planning a much more relaxing retirement after winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.

The happy grandparents, who wish to remain anonymous, said retirement was now in their sights.

“It’s fabulous! I scanned our ticket with the app and checked it at least six times!” the winning woman exclaimed.

A mother from Frankston South, who purchased her entry online, said she had been watching her pennies when she discovered she’d won more than $200,000 in TattsLotto division one prize money.

The woman was completely unaware she had won division one when a Tatts official phoned her this morning with the dream-come-true news.

“Is there a problem with my ticket? Is that why you’re phoning?” the woman queried the Tatts official.

“Oh my goodness! That’s amazing! You have no idea!

“This will give me such security! I haven’t got much left in my savings, so now I can relax.

“The windfall will help me to take care of my family and in future I can buy a family home!

“We’ll take a family holiday to Queensland and upgrade the flights for extra leg room!” she giggled.

One division one winning entry in the weekend’s draw was not registered to a Tatts Card, so Tatts has no way of contacting the winner to let them in on the news that they’re more than $200,000 richer!

The winner purchased their TattsLotto entry from Golden Dollar Lotto, 330 Smith Street in Collingwood.

Tatts spokesperson Claire Taylor said because the winner has not come forward yet, it is quite possible they’re completely unaware that they’ve won division one!

“We’re encouraging customers who purchased an unregistered TattsLotto entry in the weekend’s draw in Collingwood to check their ticket as soon as possible as you could be the winner we’re waiting for!” Ms Taylor said.

Throughout Australia, there were twenty entries that won a first division prize of $207,714.12 in TattsLotto draw 3599 on 16 January 2016. Along with the nine winning tickets from Victoria, four winning entries were purchased in New South Wales, two in Queensland, one in the Northern Territory and four in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3599 on Saturday 16 January 2016 were 1, 13, 22, 11, 3 and 24, with the supplementary numbers 29 and 30.
