Hard-working grandmother becomes a Monday Lotto millionaire!

Wednesday 30 September 2015 - A local woman who purchased her 10-game QuickPick entry from Sydney’s southern suburb of Blakehurst was brought to tears when she realised she’d won a first division prize worth $1 million in Monday Lotto!

The emotional grandmother, who is devoted to her family, said the best thing about winning the lotto was that it would give her the opportunity to spend more time with her grandchildren.

“I can’t believe it! I’m a wreck! All my dreams are coming true now!” the winner exclaimed.

“I’ve worked very hard my whole life. All my time is spent at work, but I do it all for my family.

“I can finally retire and spend my time enjoying my grandchildren instead! I’ll try my best not to spoil them!” she laughed.

“My children said, ‘Mum, this is your chance to enjoy yourself, you can sit down and relax now!’”

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 10-game QuickPick entry from Blakehurst Newsagent and Post Office, Shop 5, 637 – 643 Princess Highway in Blakehurst.

Tom Hu is the owner of Blakehurst Newsagent and Post Office and said lotto lightning had struck his store again, as it’s the second time this year that one of his customers has won a division one prize.

“Just earlier this year in January we sold a division one winning Wednesday Lotto entry worth more than $666,000!” Mr Hu exclaimed.

“So we feel like a very lucky newsagency to get two division one wins within one year… and I don’t think our lucky year is over just yet!

“We’re hoping to finish the year off with a third first division win so we can score a lucky lotto hat-trick!”

It was the only entry that won a first division prize in Monday Lotto which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3490 on Monday 28 September 2015 were 9, 32, 8, 33, 17 and 30 with the supplementary numbers of 1 and 18.

Superdraw prize from Edgeworth still unclaimed!
