Winning streak continues for Newcastle!

Thursday 10 September 2015 - They say that lightning never strikes twice but for the second time in less than a week, a Lotto entry purchased in Newcastle has scored a first division prize.

Customers who purchased a share in a store syndicate from Wallsend are the latest to celebrate winning after their entry in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw won a $1 million first division prize.

In addition to the division one prize of $1 million, the 10-share syndicate also won other divisional prizes, making their total prize worth $1,010,095.60 or $101,009.56 per share.

Kylie James is the owner of Wallsend Newsagency which sold the winning store syndicate in last night’s draw.

“We’re just so happy!” Ms James exclaimed.

“There’s been a lot of excitement in our outlet this morning. We’re so pleased for our syndicate winners and most of them are regular customers which is lovely.

“This is the second big win for us this year - we sold a $1 million first division winning Wednesday Lotto entry in April. Now that we’ve had two division one wins this year, we’re now hoping for a third before the end of the year!”

The winning System 8 store syndicate was from Wallsend Newsagency, 126 Nelson Street in Wallsend.

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto draw 3485, which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Newcastle, another New South Wales entry from Sydney won first division, and two winning entries were sold in Queensland.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Lotto draw 3485 on Wednesday 9 September 2015 were 27, 31, 23, 16, 1 and 6 with the supplementary numbers of 37 and 11.

This latest division one win comes just days after a Saturday Lotto entry from Newcastle won a first division share worth $750,000 in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The winning entry was purchased from Edgeworth Newsextra in Edgeworth however the division one winner may be unaware that they’re three-quarters-of-a-million dollars richer!

As the division one winning entry was not registered to a Players Club card, NSW Lotteries has no way of contacting the winner to let them know that they’ve won first division.

Anyone who believes they are holding the winning ticket should keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible to start the prize claim process.

Twenty-eight winners across Australia won a division one share worth $750,000 in Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw on Saturday 5 September. Along with the six winning entries sold in New South Wales, there were nine winning tickets from Victoria, five in Queensland, and eight in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw 3561 on 5 September 2015 were 13, 37, 27, 42, 31 and 5. The supplementary numbers were 18 and 30.
