Hard-working mum from Orange wins $215,000 in The Pools!

Thursday 10 September 2015 - For more than a month, a mother from the city of Orange went about her daily business completely unaware that her unregistered entry in The Pools draw 1566 on 1 August had won a first division prize of $215,520.89!

“I’d been holding onto that ticket for so long! I just hadn’t had the time to check it!” the elated winner exclaimed.

“I actually had a minor car accident on the day I bought my winning ticket. I figured something good had to come of it so I bought myself a few lotto entries including my first-ever ticket in The Pools!

“Now that I’ve won division one, I won’t have to repair my car – I can just replace it!” she laughed.

“I’ll be using the money to renovate my kitchen which is quite old and dated, and I'll put the rest towards my mortgage.

“I’m very happy! I just keep thinking this sort of thing doesn’t happen to people like me. It’s unreal!”

The winning unregistered ticket was purchased from Brooks Metro Newsagency, Shop 23 in Metro Plaza, 214 Summer Street in Orange.

It was the only entry that won a first division prize worth $215,520.89 in The Pools draw on Saturday 1 August.

The winning numbers in The Pools draw 1566 on Saturday 1 August 2015 were 31, 20, 38, 36, 26 and 21 with the supplementary number of 18.
