$1 million Wednesday Gold Lotto winner busts a move!

Thursday 10 September 2015 - A Gold Coast woman said she broke out into a happy dance after her husband told her they’d become millionaires overnight after winning first division in Wednesday Gold Lotto!

The winners discovered early this morning that they’d won first division and other divisional prizes totalling $1,010,095.60 in last night’s draw.

“You should have been here when my husband told me!” the ecstatic winning wife exclaimed.

“After he’d checked our entry, he came into our bedroom and woke me up and said, ‘I think we’ve just won first division!’

“I not only woke up, I jumped up on the bed and began dancing around! While I was jumping up and down on the bed, my husband suggested to me that I should calm down and all I could say back to him was, ‘How can I be calm!’

“I still can’t believe this! We’re self-funded retirees so our windfall means we can now have a lovely retirement!”

The winning System 8 marked Wednesday Gold Lotto entry was purchased from Coolangatta News and Lotto, Shop 2, 6 Griffiths Street in Coolangatta.

This is the second big win so far this year for the outlet which sold a division one winning store syndicate worth $2.7 million in Saturday Gold Lotto’s $30 Million Megadraw on Saturday 3 January 2015.

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division prize in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3485, which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw. Along with the winning entry from Coolangatta, another Queensland entry from the Sunshine Coast won first division, and two winning entries were sold in New South Wales.

The winning numbers in Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3485 on Wednesday 9 September 2015 were 27, 31, 23, 16, 1 and 6 with the supplementary numbers of 37 and 11.

There are more chances to win big with $15 million up for grabs in tonight’s Powerball draw. Tickets can be purchased at all Golden Casket outlets or online via Tatts.com.
