Wednesday Lotto winner's 1 million surprise!

Friday 28 August 2015 - A man from Lake Macquarie was stunned to discover that he’d become one of the state’s newest millionaires after winning division one in last week’s Wednesday Lotto draw!

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was unaware his entry had scored a $1 million division one prize in Wednesday Lotto 3479 on Wednesday 19 August until a NSW Lotteries official was finally able to contact with him late yesterday afternoon.

“Fair dinkum?” the stunned millionaire asked.

“Crickey! I hadn’t checked my winning ticket at all!” the shocked winner added before handing the telephone to his wife.

“He’s won – are you serious? I think I need to find a seat to sit down!” the winner’s wife declared.

“We’ve played lotto for years but we never expected to win! It’s too early to say what we’ll do with the prize money – I think I’ll have to make a list!” she added.

The winning 8-game marked Wednesday Lotto entry was purchased at Charlestown Square Newsagency, Shop G8016 in Charlestown Square, Pearson Street in Charlestown.

It was the only entry that won a first division prize in Wednesday Lotto draw 3479, which offers a guaranteed division one prize of $1 million for up to four winners in each draw.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3479 on Wednesday 19 August 2015 were 38, 41, 25, 30, 7 and 43 with the supplementary numbers of 33 and 42.
