Winning streak continues in Whyalla Stuart!

Friday 31 July 2015 - The search is over for a mystery Keno winner who recently won $50,000 with their Spot 8 marked entry purchased in the town of Whyalla Stuart.

The shocked winner from Whyalla Stuart came forward to SA Lotteries five days after the Keno draw on Saturday 25 July to collect his prize.

“I normally check my Keno tickets online at night with my wife, but funnily enough things got in the way and we didn’t this time,” the winner explained.

“I had a quick look at the numbers a few days later and thought we’d won $50, which wasn’t too bad, so I went into the newsagency to collect my prize.

“The newsagency owner said they couldn’t pay the prize which I thought that was strange for $50. That’s when it dawned on me that I’d actually won $50,000! I was over the moon!

“I drove straight home and pulled up in the driveway beeping the car horn! My wife came outside asking what all the racket was about and that’s when I told her the good news!”

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said the $50,000 windfall couldn’t have come at a better time and that the money would be shared with family and spent on rennovations around the home.

The $50,000 Keno Spot 8 win comes just one month after a $1.4 million division one prize was won in Saturday X Lotto draw 3537 on 13 June with an entry purchased in Whyalla Stuart.

Both winning entries were purchased from the same outlet, One Stop Newsagency & Video, Shop 6 in One Stop Shopping Centre, Flinders Avenue in Whyalla Stuart.

One Stop Newsagency & Video owners Sandra and Ian Donaldson were thrilled that their outlet had sold a second big prize in less than two months.

“It’s wonderful to know we’ve sold a Keno Spot 8 winning entry to another one of our lovely customers!” Mrs Donaldson exclaimed.

“We’re hoping to get the hat trick now and do it again and sell another winning entry in this weekend’s Saturday X Lotto $21 Million Superdraw!”

The winning Keno numbers in draw 2012792 on Saturday 25 July 2015 were 31, 15, 10, 48, 26, 17, 39, 13, 63, 46, 52, 69, 25, 71, 42, 1, 16, 19, 54 and 9.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 8 top prize, a player must match all eight of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn. Keno draw results are available online at SALotteries.com.au.
