Couple 'pocket' 1 million in Wednesday X Lotto!

Wednesday 15 July 2015 - A husband and wife from Adelaide had been driving around for almost one week oblivious to the fact that they had a $1 million winning Wednesday X Lotto ticket in the seat pocket of their car!

The couple, who spend a lot of their time volunteering, were blown away when an SA Lotteries official broke the dream-come-true news to them late yesterday afternoon that they were millionaires.

“You’re joking! Can you please repeat that to my husband?” the wife asked as she handed over the phone to her husband.

“That’s unbelievable! That’s the best news I’ve had in my life!” the emotional man exclaimed.

“I had heard on the radio that there was a missing winner in South Australia but it didn’t click that it could be us!”

“You know I’ve never heard my husband cry with joy until now! We’re in shock!” the winning woman added.

“I checked another lotto ticket the other day and I won about $25 - I thought I’d won the world with that amount!

“I was jumping for joy over $25 and now we’ve won $1 million! I can’t believe that winning Wednesday X Lotto ticket has been in the car seat pocket this whole time!

“They say good things happen to good people but I didn’t think it was true. We’ve had so much sorrow in our lives but this is just incredible,” she said.

The happy couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning 14-game QuickPick entry from Gardens Newton Newsagency, Shop 13 in Target Newton Shopping Centre, on the corner of Newton and Gorge Roads in Newton.

Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division prize of $1,000,000.00 each in Wednesday X Lotto draw 3467. There were two division one winning entries purchased in South Australia, and two winning entries were from Queensland.

The winning numbers in Wednesday X Lotto draw 3467 on Wednesday 8 July 2015 were 19, 26, 40, 11, 1 and 29, with the supplementary numbers 24 and 6.
