Four Queensland entries win $1.2 million prize in Superdraw!

Monday 11 May 2015 - There was more than just Mother’s Day to celebrate yesterday for some Gold Lotto players after four entries from Queensland scored a division one share worth $1,235,294.12 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw.

Three of the winning tickets were individual entries purchased in Browns Plains, Hope Island and Plainland, while the other division one prize will be shared by a 20-member syndicate in Morayfield.

One South-East Queensland family teamed up to win first division and other divisional prizes totalling $1,248,288.92 in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The family syndicate, who wish to remain anonymous, spent Mother’s Day celebrating their division one win with the entry they purchased in the suburb of Browns Plains.

“I actually watched the Superdraw on Saturday night and when I saw the results, I thought we didn’t pick the right numbers again,” the syndicate leader exclaimed.

“It was actually another member of syndicate who realised we had all six winning numbers on Sunday morning.

“He raced down to a family Mother’s Day get together to tell everyone that we’d won Gold Lotto!

“We’ve been playing those same numbers together for around 25 years and the most we’ve ever won is about $600!”

The winners all said they plan to use their share of the windfall to pay off mortgages and take much-needed holidays.

“I was born to travel,” one of the excited syndicate members added.

The winning System 8 marked entry was purchased from Nextra Drewvale, Shop 8 in Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, Browns Plains Road, Browns Plains.

Gold Coast couple house hunting after $1.2 million win

A Gold Coast couple are in the market for a new home after discovering they’d won a division one share in Saturday’s $21 Million Superdraw.

The winners, who wish to remain anonymous, were unaware they were more than $1.2 million richer until a Golden Casket official broke the dream-come-true news this morning!

“You’re kidding me right?” the winning man questioned.

“I don’t believe you! You buy a Gold Lotto entry thinking wouldn’t it be nice, but you never expect to win first division!

“I was having a great Monday morning but it just got a lot better!”

The winners said they plan to use their Gold Lotto windfall to buy themselves a new home.

The winning System 8 marked entry was purchased from Papier and Co Hope Island, Shop 1 in Hope Island Shopping Centre, 10 Santa Barbara Road in Hope Island.

$1.2 million division one win in Plainland

A Lockyer Valley woman is one of the state’s newest millionaires after discovering her Gold Lotto entry in the weekend’s $21 Million Superdraw won her a division one prize worth more than $1.2 million.

The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said she made a spur-of-the-moment decision to play her favourite numbers in Saturday’s draw.

“I’ve had those lotto numbers since day dot and I haven’t played them in a very long time. But because it was the Superdraw on the weekend and Mother’s Day, I decided to give them another go!” the excited winner exclaimed.

“I only checked my ticket this morning and I couldn’t believe it when I saw I had all the winning numbers!

“It’s such a surprise - I don’t even know what I’m going to go with my Saturday Gold Lotto windfall. I haven’t even thought about it to be honest!”

The winning 12-game marked entry was purchased from newsXpress Plainland, Shop 6 in Plainland Plaza, Gherke Road in Plainland.

Morayfield syndicate shares $1.2 million prize

The suburb of Morayfield is celebrating after a 20-share group syndicate won a division one prize worth more than $1.2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto $21 Million Superdraw!

In addition to the first division win, the syndicate of players also won other divisional prizes, making the total prize worth $1,248,288.92 or $62,414.45 per share.

Ken Allan is the owner of Nextra Morayfield Village which set up the winning syndicate in Saturday’s Superdraw.

“We had quite a few of the winning syndicate members come in to the store yesterday. They were all rapt!” Mr Allan said.

“One of them came in with half her family and she told me that she hadn’t slept a wink all night!

“A lot of them are regular customers of our two outlets in the shopping centre so we’re really happy for all of them. They’ve said the money is going to come in really handy for them.”

Shares in the winning syndicate were sold at Nextra Morayfield Village and Nextra Morayfield Plaza News, Shops 5 and 38 in Morayfield Shopping Centre, 171 Morayfield Road in Morayfield.

Throughout Australia, there were seventeen entries that won a first division share of Gold Lotto’s $21 Million Superdraw on Saturday 9 May, each worth $1,235,294.12. There were four winning entries purchased in Queensland, five were sold in Victoria, two in South Australia, one in the Northern Territory, and five were sold in Western Australia.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3527 on Saturday 9 May 2015 were 29, 31, 32, 27, 13 and 4 with the supplementary numbers of 36 and 34.
