Sydney racegoers will enjoy another feast of Group 1 racing when The Championships wind up this Saturday.

The 48 hour rain delay of  Day 1 of The Championships means Royal Randwick will host eight Group 1 events in the space of five days. Following Monday's Doncaster, TJ Smith, Australian Derby and Sires' Produce, all eyes will be on the Queen Elizabeth Stakes (2000m), Sydney Cup (3200m), ATC Australian Oaks (2400m) and the Queen Of The Turf Stakes (1600m).

The $4m Queen Elizabeth boasts a quality field of 13, with three runners trained overseas - Japan's To The World and Tosen Stardom , along with the UK's Red Cadeaux . Throw in Aidan O'Brien's Cox Plate winner Adelaide (now trained by Chris Waller) , Godolphin's form import Contributer , last start Australian Cup winner Spillway and the classy Criterion and you have the base for a super contest.

Melbourne Cup winner Protectionist and exiciting Godolphin stayer Hartnell headline the two-mile classic, the Sydney Cup. New Zealand Oaks winner Savaria takes on Winx and Thunder Lady in the Australian Oaks, while quality mares Noble Protector and Catkins face a challenge from first-class filly First Seal to become Queen Of The Turf in 2015.

Just like Monday, Day 2 of The Championships boasts close to $10m in prize money for the bumper card.
